Betty Ann Tanner is an interior decorator and has served clients in the greater Washington, DC area, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Tennessee and Florida. She is an alumna of the University of Tennessee and serves as a trustee with the University of Tennessee System which includes the flagship campus in Knoxville and the UT Health Science Center in Memphis.
Betty Ann is involved in a number of non-profit boards in Washington, DC including Ford’s Theatre Society, Women Against Alzheimer’s, The Congressional Club and the International Neighbors Club which includes spouses of the diplomatic corps, the President’s Cabinet, the US Military, Supreme Court and US Congress. She served for six years as a trustee of Meridian International Center and also chaired its annual Ball. Additionally she has chaired the March of Dimes Gala, Prevent Cancer Gala, N Street Village Dinner and First Lady’s Luncheon. Mrs. Tanner also serves on the Board of Discovery Park of America in Tennessee where she resides with her husband when she is not in Washington.
She has traveled extensively with her husband, John Tanner, former Democratic Member of the US House of Representatives and currently the Vice Chairman of Prime Policy Group.
