So, what is “it?” It’s social media, and in 60 minutes, you will learn how Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms can become engines of productivity, creativity, and connectivity for today’s global citizen.

DAVID W. NELSON
In just a few short years, David W. Nelson has established himself as one of the leading young voices in his field. A native of Medford, New Jersey, he is an authority on international protocol, cross-cultural competencies, global business etiquette and dress, and social media. By day, he serves as the Protocol and Special Events Manager at the National Archives Foundation, the independent nonprofit organization that generates financial and creative support for the exhibits, public programs, and educational initiatives of the National Archives and Records Administration. He is responsible for orchestrating high-level visits to the National Archives Museum as well as special events for government officials, diplomats, corporate executives, and celebrities. Since 2010, he has been intimately involved in the administration of Protocol & Diplomacy International – Protocol Officers Association (PDI-POA), the global professional organization for protocol officers, having served as Secretary of the Board, Forum Chair, Program Chair, and Volunteer Coordinator.
